A space for calm and care

Welcome

I’m so glad you’ve found your way here…

You might be curious about Chinese Medicine, or perhaps you’ve tried other approaches that didn’t quite get to the heart of things. I offer a quiet, thoughtful space where you are listened to and cared for. With time to slow down.

I love this medicine of old wisdom and quiet care.

What is Chinese medicine, and why choose it?

Chinese medicine is a complete system of healing that sees the body as a whole—interconnected, unique, intelligent, and always seeking balance. It doesn’t just treat symptoms, but gently works with the root of imbalance to support lasting change.

People choose Chinese medicine because it meets them where they are—with respect, with curiosity, and with treatments that honour both the physical and emotional landscape of health. It’s a quiet, powerful way of returning to yourself.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Heidelberg – pulse diagnosis with practitioner

What to expect

When you visit the clinic, we’ll start by talking about your concerns. There are a few different ways we make a Chinese Medicine diagnosis. You can expect some interesting questions! Then I will feel your pulse, look at your tongue, and create a treatment plan, which we’ll go over together before starting.

Your first visit will take up to 90 minutes, and follow-up visits are usually around an hour, depending on what we’re working on that day.

In my treatments, I may use acupuncture needles, cups, moxibustion, shiatsu, or gua sha. I may also recommend Chinese herbal medicine for you to take home. You’ll have the opportunity to ask all the questions you need to, so there are no surprises.

Modalities

What I treat

In Chinese Medicine, the practitioner focuses on balancing and nourishing the individual’s qi (pronounced “chee”), which is the life force flowing through the body via pathways we call channels or meridians. Qi which is strong and balanced supports health and well-being and when stuck, deficient or out of balance may contribute to pain or ill health. This holistic approach makes it effective for a wide range of conditions. No two treatments are the same, and even individuals with the same condition may require different approaches, as each person’s needs are unique.

My areas of clinical focus are informed by my interests, ongoing learning, and experience.

Women’s health

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine may support women’s health at every life stage-from menstrual issues such as irregularities, pain, endometriosis, and PCOS, to the transitions of perimenopause, menopause, and into older age.

Pain relief

Acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha and moxibustion may offer relief for all types of pain—from chronic conditions and musculoskeletal discomfort to headaches, migraines, and digestive pain.

Digestive health

Chinese Medicine may support digestive health by addressing the root cause of imbalance. Whether it’s bloating, reflux, IBS, or sluggish digestion, treatments like acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion and dietary guidance can help restore comfort and improve long-term digestive function.

General health/Wellness

Chinese Medicine and acupuncture can support the immune, respiratory, nervous, and digestive systems to enhance overall wellness, and may also assist with skin conditions.

Children and teens can benefit from Chinese Medicine. There are always needle-free treatment options available if necessary.

Mental health

The Chinese Medicine approach to mental health recognises the deep connection between mind and body. Acupuncture and herbal medicine, along with lifestyle support practices, aim to assist individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, symptoms of depression, or emotional imbalance, and to encourage a sense of calm and overall wellbeing.
